In an impressive display, India triumphed over South Korea 3-1 in the Hero Asian Champions Trophy on Thursday. This victory marks India’s fourth consecutive win in the tournament.
India, the defending champions and Paris Olympics bronze medalists, had previously secured victories against China (3-0), Japan (5-0), and Malaysia (8-1).
In today’s match, Araijeet Singh Hundal scored the opening goal in the 8th minute, followed by skipper Harmanpreet Singh, who netted two more goals in the 9th and 43rd minutes. Korea’s solitary goal came from Jihun Yang via a penalty corner in the 30th minute.
With this win, India advances to the semi-finals and will face Pakistan in their final group match on Saturday.
